Thursday, 9:30 PM, Week 4

[ Dhaos had a reason for swinging on by, this time, and he thought of the last time that Yoite had visited. Or perhaps now that he's had his mind to clear from the whole mess of events occurring -- regardless he is clutching a single warm item carefully in his hands. So he lightly gives a knock upon Yoite's door. ]

[ Dhaos probably has to knock a few times before Yoite answers, but he hears the door eventually. When he opens the door he looks fairly well-- it was honestly the best week he's had here, as the incentive didn't bother him in the slightest. It was a nice reprieve.]

Good evening. [He's more focused on Dhaos than the item in his hands.]

[ He's more than a little shocked-- what he had done after trial was payment for all the things Dhaos had done so far. He had never expected it to be reciprocated like this, or at all.

Instantly his face lights up: he can tell from the steam that it's warm, and taking it into his hands only confirms it. For a moment he just closes his eyes, breathing in the scent of the lemons wafting from the lemonade. It reminds him of the cluttered apartment he had called "home" for the past year, and all the memories that go with it.]

Thank you, I... thank you. [ He cracks the tiniest of smiles as he takes a sip, and for once in his life he doesn't try to down it all in one gulp. Something like this should be enjoyed.]

[ Happy wasn't a word he associated with himself often. but maybe in this instance it was okay. He takes another sip of the lemonade before he replies, seemingly perfectly content.]

I didn't know you could cook. [ He had never seen Dhaos in the kitchen, but it wasn't a room he frequented often either, as he only walked in there to grab leftovers.]

How? [ Magic wasn't exactly a foreign word, but it's not something he was familiar with either. There was certainly ninjutsu that could conjure fire too, but from what he's gathered so far the abilities were different.]

I can't cook. But Clover can bake. [ The incident from today is still fresh in his mind.]

[ He tilts his head, curious.] Can you show me? [ What is fire safety.]

She gave me cookies. [ Just going to leave the part out about he how knocked her off a chair and nearly set himself on fire trying to help.]

[ A nod.] I'd like to see. [ Just about done with the lemonade anyway (he tried drinking it slow, but it's pretty fast for anyone else considering).]

She was making a lot, so she had extra. They were good. [ It's definitely warmed him up to her at least.]

[The good thing about being constantly bundled up is that it takes no time at all to get ready to leave. He follows Dhaos out the door quickly, and locks the door.]

No. But I wouldn't blame her if she did. [Being that he caused her to fall and all.]

[ Cookies are important! But he doesn't respond besides tilting his head, piqued.]

Okay. [ He steps back a bit, ready for whatever's going to happen. He's not sure what to expect, but he is quite curious.]

[ The creation of the fire doesn't catch him off guard, but the magic circle does. He's never seen anything like it before, though it appears to be a mark of the spell as far as he can tell.]

So the lesser one you used for the lemonade? [ It's incredibly interesting, and definitively different from controlling the elements in ninjutsu.]

There are ways to control fire in ninjutsu, but they're not that grand. Your spells are powerful. [ He's impressed, just like he was when Vegeta showed his way of controlling ki.]

[If he had the chance, he would have liked to see such a thing.]

Ninjutsu is composed of 5 elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. All normal arts fall within the domain of one of the elements and are connected to nature, like the ninjutsu to light wood aflame.

Kira is a forbidden art, and it exists outside of these elements. Forbidden arts draw on the body of the master for results-- some the body, some the brain and so on. [ A beat as he considers whether to elaborate further.] Kira uses my ki, my life force as an attack. It goes against the basic laws of nature and self-conservation. My ties to the elements are mostly broken.

Sure. [ He doesn't mind talking about these things (not with Dhaos at least), and it's been a while since he's talked at length like this. With a nod, he starts to move back inside.

Though he's not the most socially aware person, he can't help but notice Dhaos' sigh.]

I wanted to learn Kira, no one forced me to. I knew the consequences of it. [ It's his way of saying " don't feel bad for me". His expression is peaceful even.]

[If he was the type of person to smile freely, he would have smiled just then. Instead, he settles for a small nod.]

I told you earlier this week, I don't regret anything I've done. [ Which is why the motive for him falls flat this week-- what he wanted to fix wasn't a mistake he had control over.

The following question makes him pause a bit, but he keeps instep.]

In a way. There's an art which is capable of doing anything. [ Which included time travel, naturally.]
