[ Dhaos was at this time immediately making a bee-line to Gilbert's door, after yesterday's findings, albeit late. He would have just left a note, but he is actually the type of person to truly worry about something happening to it, and well. Yesterday was quite distracting.

So, have a knock there. ]

Er— Hold on a second. [His room smells a little less like Extreme Smoke today when he opens the door! But only a little less...]

Good evening... Is something wrong?

[ It's still too strong for Dhaos and he coughs a little because he took in a quiet, but substantial inhale of air as compared to last time when the door opens. He makes sure to have turned his head at least... goodness, Gilbert. ]

Yes and it does not have to do with what just occurred right now.

[ He blinks blearily, looking back after the bit of recovery. He wished to simply clarify that and then in the next moment... ]

Unfortunately, it appears that the weapons have re-appeared.

[The heavy smoker struggle is so real...]

I— Wait, what? [He hasn't gone back to the police station yet, so this is definitely news to him.] Re-appeared? In one piece, you mean?

[ So much struggle, so little time. ]

Yes. It is as we were never even there.

[ ... ]

Suffice to say, I imagine every location will be that way, then. Anything broken or otherwise will simply be merely replaced by magic. It makes sense... I suppose.

[ Grudgingly said. ]

[There's a little frustrated noise in response to that, but Gilbert doesn't seem too surprised. When are things ever easy...]

I guess it makes sense. It's an attempt at making this place a little safer, so of course the people running this thing wouldn't be happy with that.

[RUDE. Why does it always boil down to murder for some!!]

I imagine if anything the most it got out of those behind this mess was a good laugh on their part.

On that note, was there anything odd or unusual you noticed this week or beforehand concerning this town?

Nothing more or less unusual than either... Why? Did something else happen?

[He's been paying attention to things as keenly as possible, but there are definitely some parts he can't always keep an eye on.]

Mm... no, not with me. I had figured that something like in the week where that woman screaming would have occurred again.

If anything, I have heard that such ghosts are common in this town and they seem to be stuck in the past, unable to notice what is going on with all of us. Or that it appears to be the case so far.

Ghosts? Where did you hear that from? I mean— I guess it isn't too surprising, though... There are some strange things going on here.

[Between the void dog and the strange dreams and BASICALLY EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TOWN.]

A boy informed me of this while we passed briefly by for a very short chat.

[ He folds his arms. Have you heard about the void cat, Gilbert? He is sure you would like to meet it. ]

If anything, it simply means we are in a ghost-town, among other things. Perhaps we will be able to find out the history if more come along or some such details.

[stupidly]

[No one tell him about void cats. He's got enough stress just dealing with Ranulf and Cheshire...]

If things worked out in our favor, maybe we'll be able to discover some things about this place before we drop down to seven survivors.

... I should hope so.

[ Don't worry. It's bound to happen sometime, Gilbert. Later.

He tries to think of something else. He feels like he might have forgotten-- oh. Right. ]

I also have a heavy suspicion that this town was once embroiled in some kind of conflict--involving war-- at some point in time. What with I was told about those 'sirens' and the fact that one of those ghosts mentioned something about going through 'hard times'. Unfortunately, it's too early to tell, but...what do you think of it?

I was told the sirens were for air raids, which were common during wartime in some areas, apparently... If that's the case, you likely aren't wrong - or at least some elements of that theory are correct.

[He's tired of war ghosts and yet, here they all are.]

[ He nods. ]

...That appears to be all, then. I hope either of us are able to learn some more soon. If we can piece together enough information, we might find out something crucial.

I'll keep my eyes and ears out for anything that might be useful.
