Saturday, Dhaos, Poland & Yoite, Week 10, 8:30 PM
[ If there was one thing Dhaos was bad at, it was cooking. Even now, this rang true. Yet, he knew that if there was one thing that could help alleviate this one's pain, it would be food. So, he struggled with it for a few hours, until he arrived at a cake that looked pretty good--although the kitchen was essentially a disaster zone as a result.
Dhaos then quickly conferred with Yoite about his idea...not only to cheer Poland up, but discuss details with her, and it would come to no surprise of his own the other agreed. Hence why Dhaos will take this one hour visit and that being now meant the man was knocking upon Poland's door. ]
Poland...?

Poland...?

I hope she likes it. It smells good.

She looks better than she did this morning. Although the smudge of powdered sugar on her cheek makes it apparent she's been taxing the infinite packzi tray to it's limits...]
Oh.
Hey.
Um. [She probably should have expected visitors. Honestly.]
Hi.

[ The male manages back to Yoite quietly, before the door opens. He nods his head respectfully at her appearance.
He tries to smile at her, but it is a little weak and probably awkward. ]
Good evening, Poland. Mind if we...talk with you for a bit?

Totally helping.]1/3
Like. Right now?
[What's with the cake... oh. Oh.]

Just um. Don't mind the mess too much it's been sorta.
[She has a zoo living in here and a monster graveyard and Lithuania was the responsible party of the two of them.]
Yeah. Just come in.

[ In fact, Dhaps even sets the cake on a bed when they are allowed in and begins to clean up the mess without so much of a complaint. ]
Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for your favorite kind of flavor, so I hope you do not mind vanilla.

Without hestitation, Yoite walks in and sits down on the floor next to the bed. Some habits die hard.]
no subject
[Poland will sit on the opposing bed, smoothing out her skirt awkwardly.]
So. Um! [Poland has some clean dishes in her room actually. She lost count of how many pets she needed to feed and just brought a bunch.]
What's up? [She'll plate two pieces each for Dhaos and Yoite. Then just take a fork to the rest of the entire cake and start eating it.]

[ After he is done, he moves to sit on one of the beds and folds his hands neatly in his lap. ]
We decided to mostly drop in to see how you were faring. That said, that is not the only reason. Our time is dwindling and the mystery of this town still hangs over us all like a veil. I do not know of how much Lithuania has told you, or has had the chance to for that matter...but we need to start somewhere.
You know of the ghosts within this town, correct? The dead inhabitants? Do you know of the ones besides Marta?
[ Because if not he and probably Yoite will start there. ]

I've only talked to Edita, she's a school teacher.
no subject
I only met Marta.

Edita. Jurgis, that dog. The mayor. A ship captain.
To start with. The first one on that list is a school teacher that Yoite named, the second is a dog that I believe Lucy met with once and Satori met with. The dog belonged to Miata's neighbors.
Myself and Lithuania investigated the residency area with an address written on a piece of paper. It had Miata's neighbors address, and therefor, we easily found Miata's house beside it.
The third one is Mayor Bačiulis. We want to be on the look out for him because he has information.
Captain Salvatore Brigante is the ship captain and from him I obtained the mayor's address. Therefor, the next course of action that should be taken is to visit his residence, hope his ghost manifests by calling out to him, and we can ask him questions.
That said, I learnt a bit from him. That lake used to be a harbor, which seemed to disappear overnight for him, but he felt it had been much longer...perhaps due to how long he has been dead for. He mentioned a ship that used to occupy it. It was called the Amarissa.

They all...seem to be confused about the current state of the town. Edita thought I was a tourist, and she hadn't heard of Miata. When I asked Miata about her, she said Edita taught her sister.

Poland swallows a mouthful of cake, looking thoughtful.]
Sans' notes mentioned something about town looking completely different from the way I guess everyone who "died" can see it.
Maybe that's the way it's supposed to look and we're seeing the weird thing.
[Bačiulis... that's a hella Lithuanian name if she ever heard one.] I can go with you to the Mayor's office if you want.

Things have...changed. ]
There was another. Dr. Maeda who did not even come from the town, nor Lettland. She said someone set off land mines due to wanting a closed country. Inaba said at the time she saw her, the clinic was in pieces.
Therefor, that may go hand in hand with 'how the town is supposed to look' subject in San's notes, as you said. The harbor, the true appearance of the clinic and the rest of the town.
[...]
I would not mind. I had hoped to have you accompany us, Poland. Hopefully, together, we can figure something out and then bring it up with the others.

Sometimes, he acts like the teenager he is.]
Except for Rhys. [Yoite will never want to help him.]
1/2
Poland crams another big bite of cake in her mouth.]
2/2
That's good for like. Warding off the black death but, something like that can't be sustained forever.
[She'd know. She was pretty isolated from everyone when she was young.]
And using landmines? [Oppressive regime much?]
no subject
[ Dhaos has a hard time showing emotions sometimes, but he is actually incensed someone like Rhys survives over Lithuania. On one hand, he is better at hiding how sour he is over it. ]
The name of said land involved was Lorelea--the one that wanted its own land and be a closed country. Lithuania mentioned it was located somewhere in the Baltic Sea, and an island, according to this world's map.
That said, it sounds like it turned into some type of catastrophic war that engulfed this town, so I doubt they got what they wished. Their methods were likely too barbaric...mines never bring a good conclusion to any war, or anything for that matter.
no subject
He doesn't have much to add to the discussion about wars and policies, but he can relate in a way:]
It's impossible to escape conflict forever. Eventually, a decisive action needs to be taken.
no subject
Either they were trying to keep people in, or. Other people out.
I dunno much about this place, but I guess if it's like home it could definitely have been the latter too.
Eastern Europe hasn't had the easiest time of keeping other people's hands off our stuff. [Putting it lightly.]
Although we get it back eventually. [Poland's pretty sure this could have been resolved without somehow involving demons. Probably.]
I guess we won't know more til we investigate it further.
