[ He figures he may as well see how Satori is doing-- not to mention he had some thoughts in mind besides that. So here he is, knocking upon her door. ]
[There's a rustling sound that goes on for several moments before she opens the door. Once she does, it'll be apparent she was attempting to tidy up the stacks of paper in her room.
It's still kind of messy, though.]
I'm almost always here...though I would've ignored anyone else asking.
What subjects did you have in mind? It's been so long since I last had a proper conversation, I'm afraid I don't know what's deemed acceptable anymore.
[Before Lebensbaum, she just had one-sided conversations with people's thoughts.]
[Dhaos's concern gives her pause. She's not used to people worrying about her...]
I'll be all right. I know I'm not liked, so I figured more people would think it plausible that I was responsible because of my bad personality...but it seems we have a surprisingly level-headed group of people here. I don't believe anyone thought seriously that I did it.
[She sighs, somewhere between wistful and amused.]
I don't even think Field really thought I did it. I think her vote was out of spite.
[ Dhaos had been a tad bit concerned because of Undyne being Loud, but it seemed to be all for naught. ]
That said, I would not be surprised. She was very emotional and volatile. This trial made it even moreso to a newer height. It reminds me of why she got along so easily with Vegeta.
Well, Cheshire was one of the only people I never would have killed. I wondered why I was on the suspect list because of that, but I think the reason was to make me seem like a plausible accomplice.
[She can't think of any other good reason to put her on it.]
I can't blame Field for getting emotional, though. I'm not even sure I can blame her for voting for me. She lost two very important people in two weeks...there aren't many people strong enough to be unaffected by something like that. I wish I could properly evaluate her mental state...
[She seems frustrated, twirling one of the tendrils of her third eye between her fingers. Clover is fun to antagonize, and having someone completely off balance could be dangerous, so although she doesn't like her too much, she doesn't want to see her lose her mind either.]
[ Only when the trial progressed far enough he thought the same, probably at the same time as her. It was a relief to see not many jumped on it, though... ]
If anything, she seems to at least have a support group of multiple people who should be there to cushion the blow. If it doesn't, we will likely find out by next week or soon enough.
[ His words about Clover getting along with Vegeta were not made lightly. He knew he planned to avoid her for the whole week, the next, and more if he could manage it, if that would also help her simmer down. But he doubted it. The damage was done. ]
And humans are quite resourceful as well as dangerous when unpredictable.
[ Dhaos doesn't quite have that dedication but him and Clover never got along so...but he thinks maybe she would bounce back for appearances' sake only. ]
I have been doing alright. This week has been easier than most and the last week included. It's undeniably stressful, but ...
[ It was week 4 that was the worst of it. ]
There's nothing that has occurred recently that would have made it difficult for myself. I understand merely that I cannot let such things get to me-- the events that occur here that is.
Speaking of events here, however, have you noticed anything out of the ordinary? Besides the "killing game" and this week's fun 'game'?
[ He heard there were spirits wandering around, so... ]
No, I haven't noticed anything more out of the ordinary than usual. It's still cold, I still want to go home, and everyone else is still irritating.
[At least she's got a good attitude about it. /sarcasm]
...I am glad to hear you're handling yourself well, though. I don't particularly care if anyone else lives or dies, but I've decided I'd like you to live.
[She says, as though it will somehow ensure Dhaos survives.]
[ There might have been a chuckle there because of her good natured attitude. Satori you are the only one has made him laugh so much whilst he's been here. ]
I'm glad to hear such a thing from you. It'd be the end for those from my world if I died here, so it is something I'd like to avoid.
[ And why he tells himself he must live. However, that's not all. ]
...There are not many people I can truly stand here or bother to care about now. However, I also would like to convey the same regarding your own life. If we could figure out more on our situation and return to our homes, alive, that would be the best scenario. I'd like to think it's possible.
[She's quiet for a long time, staring at the floor. And then:]
I keep letters to my pets and my sister in my coat. If I should die before you do, please...make sure no one takes them. Make sure any scrap you can find stays on my corpse. Miata - she promised she'd do what she could to make sure Orin found my body to bring it home.
[She doubts anyone would be able to get into Gensokyo through the barrier, so she'll just have to rely on the possibility that she doesn't end up burned or drowned or something that could damage the letters.]
...This is something I can only ask of you, because you're the only one I trust enough.
[ Dhaos' eyebrows furrowed at the request, because he didn't think-- or well, imagine that she would request such a thing of him. His lips pressed into a thin line at the thought of her dying. ]
...
Very well, I accept your request. However, Satori... if you ever feel yourself in danger, feel free to come on by to my own room. We do live on the same floor, and although it may not do much, perhaps it can assist in matters some.
[ He does not say such things lightly, but here he is. ]

[How to be a Shut-In 101.]
Would you like to come in?
no subject
I see.
[ Then he nods at that. ]
I do, since you do not mind. I figure it may be good to discuss a few subjects in particular...

SORRY THIS IS LATE THE CON IS A CRUEL MISTRESS
[Staying invested in people you hate because you have to bother them to stay sane. #LittleSatoriThings]
How have you been, then? You weren't a suspect this week, but it's stressful for everyone here...
haha np
